Material Analyst

to join the team. Reporting to the Materials Manager, this position will develop and maintain the PFEP (Plan for Every Part), manage material master data in ERP systems, and establish reporting metrics to improve inventory accuracy, line-side availability, and overall material efficiency. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data driven, and skilled at bridging warehouse operations with system accuracy. An overview of your responsibilities! Develop and maintain the PFEP, storage locations, delivery frequency, and replenishment method for all parts. Partner with production, logistics, and warehouse teams to design material flow that supports on-time delivery and efficient handling. Support lean initiatives such as FIFO and lineside presentation improvements. Monitor inventory levels, usage rates, and demand trends to identify shortages, excess, or slow-moving items. Support cycle count program design and perform discrepancy analysis. Provide data-driven insights to improve inventory accuracy and reduce material waste. Create and maintain material master data, including part numbers, storage locations, and units of measure. Configure bin locations, barcoding, and scanning processes to ensure real-time system accuracy. Validate new part setups, BOM changes, and engineering updates in ERP to ensure smooth integration into production. Design and maintain dashboards for material KPIs. Provide weekly/monthly reports for leadership and make recommendations for process improvements. Work with Planning, Purchasing, Receiving, and Production to ensure timely availability of materials. Support warehouse and logistics in layout optimization and transaction accuracy. Document SOPs for material handling, system transactions, and PFEP processes. Identify and implement opportunities to reduce handling steps, improve accuracy, and cut costs. What you'll need, among other things! Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Supply Chain, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience: 4+ years in materials management, supply chain, or inventory control in a manufacturing environment. Strong working knowledge of ERP systems and material master data management (Epicor is a plus). Proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas); Power BI or similar tools is a plus. Knowledge of PFEP, cycle counts, and lean material flow principles. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills. Familiarity with barcoding, labeling, and scanning systems. Strong knowledge of ERP/WMS systems. Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities. Do you have other qualifications?
