The Division of Human Biology at Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center (Fred Hutch) is launching an Assistant or Associate Professor faculty search for a laboratory-based scientist whose work advances our understanding of human disease mechanisms that will contribute to an understanding of the biological basis of solid cancers and translation to the clinic. The successful candidate will enter a dynamic research environment focused on understanding the biology of cancer, its molecular and pathogenic origins, and its consequences to health. Human Biology encourages taking bold risks and provides forums and financial mechanisms to foster collaboration, along with robust physical and intellectual infrastructure to foster scientific success. Faculty are expected to perform their primary activities on-site at Fred Hutch. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. Qualifications For consideration, applicants must have a PhD, MD/PhD, MD or foreign equivalent. Responsibilities and Qualifications (context)

Work as a laboratory-based scientist contributing to our understanding of cancer biology and translation to the clinic. Engage in research areas including but not limited to: cell autonomous and non-cell autonomous mechanisms of cancer initiation, evolution, and/or progression; genomics/systems biology; computational cancer biology; functional genomics; post-transcriptional gene regulation; novel therapeutics; and mechanisms of drug resistance. Salary information: The annual base salary ranges are: PhD researchers: Assistant Professor $183,585–$205,428; Associate Professor $205,707–$239,585 MD physician-scientists: Assistant Professor $226,754–$443,704; Associate Professor $255,843–$470,340 Pay is based on experience and qualifications. This position is eligible for relocation assistance and a sign-on bonus.
