Job Title: Pediatric Medical ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN, Locum Tenens) Location: Boston, MA 02115 (Longwood Medical Area) Employment Type: Locum tenens, Travel Nursing Assignment Healthcare Setting: Pediatric Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU), Level III/IV NICU, Level I Trauma Center Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 11/16/2025 – End: 2/15/2026) Shifts: 3x12-hour rotating shifts (Day: 7:00am–7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm–7:30am); 50/50 day/night rotation or straight nights available Hours per Week: 36 Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Estimated Weekly Salary: $2200–$2360 Parking: Discounted day passes and free night shift parking with shuttle service Charting System: EPIC Scrub Color: Any solid color (OR-provided) Qualifications
Active, permanent Registered Nurse (RN) license (required) Minimum 2 years of recent Pediatric ICU (PICU) nursing experience Critical care nursing skills, including ventilator management BLS and PALS certifications (required for pediatric healthcare jobs) Prior travel nursing experience required COVID-19 vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions considered) Ability to float to other critical care units: PICU, NICU, MSICU, CICU Two professional references from two of the last three employers (different healthcare facilities) Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in the MICU Manage ventilators and perform advanced pediatric critical care interventions Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support complex pediatric cases Float to other critical care units (PICU, NICU, MSICU, CICU) as needed Care for patients with diverse diagnoses: neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, oncology, respiratory, congenital diaphragmatic hernia, esophageal atresia, trauma, and complex pediatric conditions Document patient care using the EPIC electronic health record system Participate in day/night rotation and weekend coverage as scheduled Benefits
