Overview
Project Manager, Senior
— Remote Cyberstar, LLC helps analyze and boost human and business performance through business process redesign and information technology modernization, including data analytics and cloud computing. We provide solutions to improve the quality and effectiveness of business operations by synchronizing process innovation, human dynamics, analysis, and data technology capabilities to optimize functions. Responsibilities
Design and apply an appropriate project management framework for the project. Manage the production of required deliverables. Plan and monitor the project; manage risks and develop contingency plans. Define and maintain the Project Management Plan; manage project assurance roles within reporting structures. Report project progress through agreed lines; ensure resources are used effectively and initiate corrective action as needed. Change control and configuration management; liaise with the Program Management Office and related projects to avoid duplication. Prepare, obtain, and provide required support and advice for project management, planning, and control. Conduct end-of-project and post-project evaluations and prepare lessons learned and follow-on action recommendations. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
BA/BS Degree 10+ years of experience in project management Project Management Professional (PMP) certification required U.S. citizen; background check required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
In-depth knowledge of IT project management processes and PMI PMBOK principles Strong understanding of earned value management (EVM) and related metrics Knowledge of sprint velocity as a performance and forecasting metric Hands-on project management experience with public sector organizations Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe, etc.), SDLC, and risk management Familiarity with federal IT policy laws and regulations (FITARA, Clinger-Cohen Act, E-Government Act, FISMA) and related federal guidance Ability to analyze cost, schedule, and performance for federal IT development projects Ability to apply IT portfolio management practices to improve data quality and documentation Excellent verbal and written communication and leadership skills How you’ll grow
