Senior Proposal Manager
who will be a critical part of the corporate Growth Team, responsible for driving the entire proposal development lifecycle, from initial opportunity assessment to final submission, ensuring the creation of compelling, compliant, and winning proposals. This candidate must be well-rounded in their ability to help across all aspects of the business development and proposal lifecycle to include determining favorable pursuit opportunities, writing and editing proposal sections, and desktop publishing. This position is located in Herndon, VA. Additional responsibilities include: Independently managing the entire response process to Requests for Proposals, Requests for Information, and Sources Sought notices of all sizes (from small task orders to large single awards), including pre-proposal planning, kickoff meetings, storyboarding, content development, color team reviews (e.g., Pink, Red, Gold), and submission. Analyzing solicitation requirements to develop a compliant proposal outline, schedule, and win strategy in collaboration with the capture manager. Drive the development of compelling proposal content by facilitating brainstorming sessions, assigning writing tasks, and ensuring a consistent and persuasive narrative is woven throughout the response. Serving as the quality control expert, ensuring proposals are compliant with the solicitation's requirements, professionally formatted, and free of errors. Acting as the primary point of contact for all proposal-related activities, providing regular status updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders. Working hand-in-hand with personnel throughout the company to ensure the needed business development and capture activities are in motion and assist with those activities as needed. Assisting Growth Team Capture Managers in performing competitor and customer behavior analyses and developing capture strategies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Minimum of 7 years of proposal development experience for Federal Government opportunities, with a demonstrated track record of winning large, complex proposals. Expert-level understanding of the proposal development lifecycle and standard industry processes (e.g., Shipley, APMP). Exceptional organizational, project management, and time management skills. Strong writing skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and Adobe Suite Proactive attitude/entrepreneurial spirit and problem solver who takes initiative Demonstrated ability to form excellent working relationships with all levels of employees Excellent communication and organizational skills with a strong attention to detail Ability to multitask and work independently under pressure and tight deadlines Ability to work evenings and weekends, when necessary Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and the Shipley proposal process Experience managing GSA GWACs or multiple award ID/IQs Experience with Google Workspace products to include Google Docs Experience in and/or understanding of technical concepts in the areas of cybersecurity, software development, data science, and systems engineering The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $140,000 - $165,000, commensurate on experience.
