Software/Cloud Architect

to manage and identify program high-level technical specifications, which may include application design, cloud computing strategy and adoption, and integration of software applications into a functioning system to meet requirements. This position requires full-time onsite work in Fort Meade, MD. Responsibilities: Experience with cloud computing platforms, including AWS, Azure, GCP, and IBM Cloud Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including virtual machines, containers, and serverless computing Managing and identifying high-level technical specifications for software applications, including defining system architecture, designing data models, and developing interface specifications Operating and maintaining cloud-based infrastructure, including provisioning and configuring cloud resources, monitoring system performance, and ensuring cloud security and compliance Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting cloud resources is critical Developing and maintaining technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams, design documents, and technical guides Work in a rapidly growing environment and be a catalyst to the evolution of the mission Required Qualifications: 7+ years of Cloud Engineering experience Previous experience working with modern Cloud Service Provider environments, such as AWS, GCP, or Azure Relevant experience to be able to build operational information protection control environments in a cloud environment Experience with centralizing, querying, and setting up alerts Experience with programming languages (e.g., Python, C/C++) Demonstrated experience with shell scripting, including Bash and/or PowerShell An understanding of cloud security controls Previous experience configuring and deploying a CI/CD pipeline using tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI Previous experience configuring and deploying automated testing tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, OWASP DC, JUnit, and/or Snyk Comfortable in a project startup environment Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field US Citizenship and an active TS/SCI security clearance with an active Counter Intelligence (CI) Polygraph. Desired Qualifications: AWS Solutions Architect certification (or equivalent Cloud Service Provider certification) Previous experience achieving ATO through the client’s Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process Previous experience working in a DevOps environment where there was close collaboration between developers and security personnel to increase automation and efficiency within the Software Development Lifecycle Experience with Kubernetes environments Previous experience supporting the DoD This position is located in Fort Meade, MD. The salary range for this position is estimated to be between $150,000.00 - $170,000.00, commensurate on experience and technical skillset.
