Locum Tenens Postpartum Registered Nurse (RN) – 12 Hour Night Shifts in Boston, MA. Seeking an experienced Postpartum RN for a 16-week travel nursing assignment in Boston, MA (02215). Join our leading healthcare team and provide exceptional postpartum care in one of Massachusetts' top obstetrics inpatient units. Job Details – Postpartum RN Travel Nursing Assignment Location: Boston, MA 02215 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs) Facility Setting: Obstetrics Postpartum Inpatient Unit Assignment Type: Locum tenens / Travel Registered Nurse contract Duration: 16 weeks Start Date: October 13, 2025 End Date: January 31, 2026 Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend, Monday starts, holidays required Hours per Week: 36 (72 hours biweekly guaranteed) Floating: Not required Estimated Weekly Salary: $2020 - $2070 per week
Qualifications – Postpartum Registered Nurse
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts (required at time of submission) Minimum 2 years of recent postpartum nursing experience in a hospital setting Prior travel nursing or locum tenens RN experience required BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required Experience with magnesium drips and telemetry strongly preferred Must be separated from BILH for at least 6 months if previously employed (perm, per diem, or travel) Flu vaccine required during onboarding No local candidates (must reside outside Boston area)
Key Responsibilities – Postpartum RN
Deliver high-quality, compassionate postpartum nursing care to mothers and newborns Monitor and assess postpartum patients and infants, ensuring safe recovery and transition Administer medications, including magnesium sulfate drips, and manage telemetry monitoring Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to provide comprehensive patient care Educate patients and families on postpartum care, newborn care, and discharge instructions Maintain accurate nursing documentation and adhere to hospital protocols and safety standards Participate in weekend and holiday rotations as scheduled
