Tax Director role at NPAworldwide. We are seeking an accomplished and strategically minded Tax Director to join our growing team. This leadership role requires deep technical tax expertise, strong client relationship management skills, and the ability to lead, mentor, and develop staff while driving practice growth. The Tax Director will oversee complex tax engagements, provide subject matter expertise, and collaborate with both clients and internal teams to deliver innovative tax solutions. This role is ideal for a seasoned tax professional who thrives in both technical execution and leadership. Responsibilities

Perform technical review and approval of complex tax returns and governmental tax examinations. Serve as a subject matter expert within designated disciplines or industries. Oversee client service delivery, ensuring assignments are completed accurately, efficiently, and within budget. Manage large and complex client engagements, delegating work to tax preparers as appropriate. Actively participate in client meetings, tax planning, and advisory sessions in collaboration with the A&A department. Provide guidance to tax preparers, specialists, and A&A staff on specific technical tax issues. Assume client service responsibility for designated clients or those delegated from Partners. Stay current on key tax developments, legislation, and economic trends that may affect clients. Drive staff development through recruitment, training, evaluations, and mentorship. Participate in firm practice development initiatives, including business development and community engagement. Travel occasionally for client meetings, seminars, and training. Commit to seasonal overtime, with significant hours during the busy season (January 1 – April 15). Qualifications

710 years experience in public accounting with demonstrated progression in tax complexity and leadership. At least 2 years experience representing clients before taxing authorities. Minimum of 1 year in a supervisory capacity, managing and directing tax preparers. Bachelors degree in Accounting required; Masters in Taxation preferred. Active CPA license and membership in good standing with the AICPA. Commitment to ongoing professional development (minimum 40 hours of continuing education annually).
