Overview
Software Engineer III - Data Ingestion and Onboarding, NG-SIEM (Remote, EST) at CrowdStrike. This role is part of the GDI (Getting Data In) group under NG-SIEM, focusing on data ingestion at petabyte-scale and the onboarding experience for NG-SIEM customers. The team ingests several petabytes of data per day across multiple regions from 100+ first- and third-party data sources. Members collaborate across cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality features. What You'll Do
Enable petabyte-scale data ingestion at millions of events per second with sub-second latencies Solve hard problems in distributed systems including high availability, reliability, performance, and cost optimizations Develop systems in Scala & Go Support globally available, multi-region production systems Lead and participate in cross-team platform-level initiatives and projects Collaborate with frontend engineers, UX designers and product managers Write automated tests, perform manual testing, and contribute to high-quality feature delivery Troubleshoot critical production issues Participate in scoping, designing and developing new features Continuously improve internal tools and processes Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and work well in a team What You'll Need
U.S. citizen or permanent resident and work solely from U.S. soil MS or MSc in Computer Science, IT engineering or equivalent experience Fluency in at least one programming language, preferably JVM-based Can-do attitude and strong collaboration skills 4+ years of backend engineering experience Bonus Points
Experience programming in Scala and/or Go Experience with commercial clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience with Kafka Strong debugging skills Experience developing complex software applications Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed system architecture, high scalability and availability, and optimization Benefits Of Working At CrowdStrike
