Insight Global is looking for an Entry Level Engineer to join hybrid in Valhalla, NY. In this hands-on engineering role, this person will work closely with both internal and external team members to execute project test plans and support the development and commercialization of the company's full service beverage equipment. Responsibilities include setting up and maintaining sensory testing platforms—such as frozen beverage machines—performing basic troubleshooting, and supporting field studies to evaluate equipment performance. This person will assist engineers in testing under various environmental conditions (e.g., high heat and humidity), conduct design analysis, and contribute to the refinement of testing methodologies. While the role is predominantly physical and equipment-focused, you’ll also be expected to handle data collection and perform basic analysis to inform engineering decisions. This position reports to a higher level engineer and collaborates across teams to ensure successful product launches within the company's beverage portfolio. Base pay range and contract details
Base pay range:
$20.00/hr - $23.00/hr Contract, ongoing, 4x week onsite in Valhalla, NY Must-Haves
Recent graduate in Engineering or Applied Sciences (Mechanical, Industrial, Packaging, Chemical, or Biochemical preferred). Basic lab experience Comfortable with hands-on work and heavy equipment Okay working in messy or sticky environments Able to work in hot and humid conditions (e.g., 90°F, 70% humidity) Proficient in Microsoft Excel (basic to intermediate) Not afraid of physical tasks or getting involved in equipment testing Plusses
Experience with data acquisition systems Familiarity with Python programming Exposure to CAD or other engineering design software Previous experience with sensory testing or equipment maintenance in a food or beverage setting Key responsibilities
