Overview
Director of Manufacturing role at JRG Partners, LLC. The position is part of the leadership team and is responsible for day-to-day activities directing, controlling, and coordinating all phases of manufacturing. The role supports manufacturing for the entire company in a safe, efficient, and profitable manner in Billings, MT and Bismarck, ND facilities. The Director of Manufacturing is responsible for continuously improving safety, quality, and efficiency, driving organizational, cultural, and process changes to identify inefficiencies and improve workflow. Responsibilities
Manage annual department operating and capital budget, control expenses effectively, and provide explanations of budget variances to management. Responsible for all aspects of the budget for the production operations group including capital and expense planning, resource forecasting, and cost reductions, as necessary. Develop, maintain, and improve metrics monitoring performance and attainment of objectives and key results. Work with leadership to minimize cost of goods sold for the company. Understand the annual financial plan and execute against it in all areas of manufacturing. Collaborate with operations and sales management to improve North America quality indices. Direct manufacturing activities to ensure maximum quality is delivered safely, efficiently and on-time. Maintain cleanliness and organization of production and storage areas, preserve the physical appearance of grounds, and manage machinery and local building repairs, directing projects to the maintenance department as appropriate. Drive a manufacturing organization to high levels of safety and performance, evidenced by delivery and development of systems and processes to support customer and business needs. Assist management with process equipment and product/package troubleshooting. Collaborate with leadership to ensure reliable and timely launch and ongoing supply of products produced to the marketplace. Ensure robust security procedures and training, and that operations comply with applicable legislation and policy. Guarantee safety of supervised employees, protection of machinery, and prevention of widespread production breakdowns. Direct maintenance of local security and fire alarm systems. Monitor all North America, Federal, and State communications and audits and implement necessary changes. Interface with local, state, and federal authorities regarding functional areas. Foster a positive work environment, develop employee incentive programs, and position the organization as a premier employer. Coach and develop managers and team members to succeed, provide clarity, resolve issues, and implement a framework for continuous improvement. Oversee staff selection, performance, and development to meet business goals and expectations. Demonstrate ability to build strong teams with engagement and positive relationships with colleagues, direct reports, customers, and suppliers. Adopt a servant-leader mindset, share knowledge, and support people’s development and performance. Develop strategic direction, including reviewing growth and expansion opportunities. Maintain ownership, a growth mindset, and a passion for enabling manufacturing teams to meet performance, safety, and quality goals. Implement manufacturing strategy, including KPIs. Stay up to date on information and technology affecting functions to increase innovation and ensure compliance and cost efficiencies. Develop and implement strategies resulting in continuous improvement in safety, product quality, delivery, productivity, utilization, customer service, workforce diversity, and lower total costs. Apply continuous improvement techniques to manufacturing processes and capabilities Analyze statistical data to identify areas for improvement and support cultural and employee engagement programs. Develop internal and external relationships across boundaries to pursue business goals and ensure regulatory compliance. Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, procedures, and processes. Education and Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science, or related field. Minimum 2 years of previous management experience in a related industry. Prior experience with project management. Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Familiarity with manufacturing systems; expertise in lean manufacturing operations preferred. Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Work environment is both office and field; must be able to sit at a desk and be on feet for long periods. Field work may involve heights, confined spaces, and outdoors. Must be able to lift 75 lbs. Requires walking, talking, hearing, and manual dexterity; vision required for computer work and small components. Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
Hearing protection where required. Hair nets where open containers are used. Steel/ceramic-toed boots with slip-resistant soles. Work Environment
Moderately noisy due to manufacturing/warehousing equipment. Travel to other company locations ~15% and attendance at out-of-town trainings.
