Provides consultation and support to administrators, teachers, students, parents, and school-based leadership teams to facilitate the implementation of a Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS) and is a member of the Success Team. Responsibilities
Observe teachers, conduct formal and informal observations, and provide ongoing feedback to teachers on Tier I implementation of research-based MTSS best practices. Monitor the fidelity of MTSS implementation at the school level for both academic and socio-emotional support systems. Track, monitor, and evaluate empirical outcomes of student support through an analytic approach and implement services based on analysis. Develop and implement programs or personal counseling to promote positive student behavior and improve academic outcomes. Encourage parental involvement and support parent development as it pertains to student academic success and socio-emotional well-being. Develop systems supporting high levels of student engagement, belonging, and success in classrooms. Establish and maintain a culture of engagement, trust, and support with students, faculty, and parents/families through proactive communication. Meet with students to outline and implement academic, socio-emotional, executive function, self-advocacy, and mental health support plans. Assist administration in interpreting data and providing support for MTSS implementation. Collaborate with instructors to identify areas of student struggle. Help plan and attend MTSS staff development activities for school-based personnel. Maintain cooperative working relationships with parents, staff, and other personnel; ensure timely written and oral communication with families and school personnel. Map resources available to students from the school and other local agencies and coordinate these resources to intervene and reverse downward academic trajectories. Maintain professional competence through reading and attending appropriate workshops, courses, and conferences. Develop and lead instructional professional development sessions, including onboarding of new teachers. Collaborate with the Principal and the Success Team to coach, mentor, and develop teachers. Collaborate with the Principal and the Academic Accreditation/CRN MER. Collaborate with the College Counselor to implement the school's standardized testing program. Collaborate with the Registrar to enroll students and with the Principal to assign classes. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s degree Commitment to the mission and values of Cristo Rey Tampa Salesian High School, and the ability to articulate the mission 3-5 years of instructional experience Preferred Master’s in Educational Leadership Excellent written and oral communication skills Knowledge of student information systems – preferred Rediker Desire to work with high school students and teachers to build a positive school culture and community Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and administrative skills Preferred proficiency in Spanish Application Process
