Overview
We are seeking an experienced Controller to lead and scale the accounting function at our high-growth SaaS company. This is a pivotal role responsible for building and operationalizing accounting systems, ensuring GAAP compliance, and supporting the company’s rapid growth with scalable processes and a strong financial foundation. Base pay range
$200,000.00/yr - $265,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Lead the accounting function, overseeing all reporting, processes, controls, and systems. Own and optimize month-end, quarter-end, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and GAAP compliance. Manage and complete external audits, including leading the company’s first audit and maintaining ongoing compliance. Hire, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, while remaining hands-on with individual contributor work. Implement systems and tools to improve efficiency, shorten close cycles, and support growth with scalable, automated processes. Partner cross-functionally to provide financial insights that guide decision-making. Required Skills
10–15 years of progressive accounting experience. Big Four accounting firm experience and startup experience at a growth-stage company required. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA designation with strong technical knowledge of GAAP. Proven experience managing a full general ledger (GL), not limited to technical or revenue accounting. Demonstrated ability to balance technical accounting expertise with an operational, business-oriented mindset. Strong leadership skills with experience building and managing teams. Compensation
