Cetera Financial Group is seeking a Wealth Management Product Solutions Consultant. This role supports financial professionals in understanding how to implement various investment strategies and products, including major product lines such as mutual funds, annuities, alternative investments, and more. The position requires strong consultative skills to assist financial professionals with sales ideas, prospects, overcoming objections, unbiased product guidance, and strategies for closing sales opportunities. The role will interact with multiple departments and will educate advisors through inbound and outbound activity, webinars, and training opportunities. What you will do
Act as Subject Matter Expert for product lines including annuities, mutual funds, 529 plans, alternative investments, structured products, and donor-advised funds Consult with advisors to deliver product guidance tailored to client scenarios Assist advisors with strategic sales ideas and competitive product positioning; provide guidance on best-in-class solutions and partner-firm resources Support advisor education on key investment challenges such as secure income needs and college planning Track phone metrics, emails, and consultations to measure activity and types of questions Provide leads to Wealth Management Consulting, Growth Officers, and Financial Planning Teams when appropriate Provide industry trend insights to advisors and support marketing and educational campaigns through calls, consultations, and presentations Interface with partner firms and advocate for available resources and support Other duties as assigned What you need to have
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required 5+ years of sales experience in the financial services industry FINRA Series 7 securities registration Life, Accident & Health licenses; Series 65 or 66 a plus Strong communication, presentation, public-speaking, and interpersonal skills Customer service, problem-solving, and adaptability to different personality types Presentation/training skills to conduct group sessions Flexible, detail-oriented, and self-directed with strong multitasking Ability to work both independently and in a team Willingness to learn and self-teach Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Nice to have
Industry credentials such as CFP, CLU, ChFC, CIMA, CAIA Technology aptitude; ability to translate complex ideas into clear terms Multitasking across multiple projects; ability to work in fast-paced environments State Insurance License highly preferred Compensation
The base annual salary range for this role is $70,000 to $90,000, plus a competitive performance-based bonus. Base salary depends on factors including skills, experience, certifications, and location. Salary may vary due to geography and labor considerations. About Us and Benefits
