Accounts Payable Specialist
to join their finance team. The
Accounts Payable Specialist
will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of vendor payments, managing invoice processing, and supporting the overall efficiency of the accounting function. This position reports directly to the Assistant Controller. Responsibilities: Process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and internal controls Coordinate payment runs, including checks, wires, and ACH, while ensuring proper approvals are in place Maintain vendor files and respond to inquiries from internal teams and external suppliers Assist with monthly accruals and account reconciliations related to accounts payable Prepare analyses such as aging schedules, cash requirements, or payment forecasting reports Ensure compliance with reporting requirements, including annual 1099 preparation Support internal and external audits by gathering documentation and providing explanations Recommend and implement process improvements to streamline AP operations Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance 2+ years of experience in accounts payable or general accounting Self-starter with a proactive mindset and desire to learn, grow, and ask questions Remote flexibility (with occasional travel to HQ in Michigan) Pay Transparency Statement: The compensation philosophy reflects the Company’s reasonable expectation at the time of posting. We consider a number of factors when making individual compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, and other business needs.
