Job Description: JOB SUMMARY This job directs and manages Operational Excellence programs, providing oversight and guidance for the portfolio of programs and projects designed to improve operational deficiencies. The incumbent will collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams across locations and departments to improve operational practices. Designs, implements and executes strategies and works with cross-functional clinical, pharmaceutical, operations, IT and performance management improvement teams to ensure organizational goals are met and to optimize outcomes. Leads a team of agile coaches, process designers, and program managers who will interact with the business to ideate and implement efficiencies. Requires a strong leader who can plan and execute components of a strategy, including advanced problem solving training, learning-gap assessment, value capture of initiatives, and the change management needed to realize value, using Six Sigma and Agile tools.

Essential Responsibilities

Perform management responsibilities including hiring and termination decisions, coaching and development, rewards and recognition, performance management and staff productivity. Plan, organize, staff, direct and control day-to-day operations of the department; develop and implement policies and programs as necessary; may have budgetary responsibility and authority. Provide direct coaching to the executive leadership team on agile and operational effectiveness in partnership with the enterprise effectiveness team; attend leadership meetings to present progress, influence direction, and obtain strategic direction. Partner with all levels of management to assemble project teams and work groups to deliver defined project/program objectives. Work with Enterprise Effectiveness, Project Management and Change Office, HMHS, Advanced Analytics, and business owners to drive operational efficiencies. Manage the Operational Excellence department: develop the roadmap and priorities, define the business engagement model, and execute and deliver all identified operational improvement initiatives. Align with Enterprise Effectiveness on accountabilities and consistent approach. Lead analysis of enterprise-wide practices to identify opportunities for improvement; assess current processes and implement performance improvement programs. Manage key operational initiatives with a disciplined, customer-focused program management approach; identify and resolve issues and deliver using Six Sigma and Agile principles. Required: Bachelor\'s Degree Substitutions: 6 years of experience in an operational excellence role Preferred: Master\'s Degree in Operational Excellence, Business Administration/Management, or Clinical Programs Experience

Minimum: 10 years in Project Management; 5 years in Healthcare Industry; 5 years in a Leadership role; 7 years using Lean/Six Sigma or related disciplines Preferred: Direct Lean Six Sigma experience in areas such as reducing statistical variation, root cause analysis and corrective action, standardization of processes, closed-loop quality management, performance management and continuous improvement, KPI/OKR systems Licenses or Certifications

Pay Range Minimum: $126,400.00 Pay Range Maximum: $236,000.00 Base pay is determined by qualifications, experience, expected contributions, internal equity, market conditions, and location.
