We are seeking a skilled
Project Manager
with 5+ years of federal government experience and an active security clearance to lead and coordinate technology projects across secure environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of federal IT standards, project lifecycle management, and stakeholder engagement within government agencies. This role requires excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills to ensure successful project delivery in compliance with federal regulations. Key Responsibilities
Lead planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects in accordance with federal agency requirements and PMO standards. Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource allocations. Coordinate cross-functional teams including technical staff, contractors, and government stakeholders. Ensure projects comply with federal IT policies, cybersecurity standards (e.g., FISMA, NIST RMF), and agency-specific guidelines. Monitor project performance and proactively manage risks, issues, and changes. Prepare and present project status reports to leadership and stakeholders. Support contract management, procurement activities, and vendor coordination. Facilitate Agile or Waterfall project methodologies as appropriate. Maintain project documentation and ensure audit readiness. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, or related field. 3–5 years of experience managing IT projects, preferably within federal government environments. Active Secret clearance or higher (Top Secret, TS/SCI). Familiarity with federal IT governance frameworks (e.g., NIST, FISMA, FedRAMP). Experience with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Smartsheet). Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Certifications
PMP, CAPM, or Agile/Scrum certification Security+ or other cybersecurity-related certifications (a plus for working in secure environments) ITIL Foundation (optional) Additional Requirements
This position will sit ONSITE in Washington, DC Experience supporting agencies such as DoD, DHS, VA, or NASA is highly desirable.
