Overview
Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) to join our growing team in Aliso Viejo, CA. This is a full-time, in-office role with regular fieldwork. You’ll lead geologic site reconnaissance, subsurface investigations, fault studies, slope stability evaluations, and preparation of geological reports. You’ll collect and interpret data, analyze hazards, and make recommendations impacting design and construction. In this role, you’ll mentor junior staff and ensure regulatory and industry standards are met. Responsibilities
Plan, perform, and document geologic field investigations including logging borings, trenches, and test pits Conduct geologic hazard evaluations such as landslides, liquefaction, and fault rupture Analyze soil, rock, groundwater, and geologic data for use in engineering designs Prepare geologic maps, cross-sections, and technical reports Coordinate with project teams to support permitting, planning, and construction Provide peer review and mentoring for junior geologists and technicians Ensure adherence to project timelines, budgets, and quality standards Qualifications
Active California Certified Engineering Geologist (CEG) license BS or MS in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related field Minimum 3–5 years of applied geologic experience (preferably in California) Proficiency in geologic mapping, slope stability analysis, and geotechnical logging Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for site visits Compensation and Benefits
