Loyola University Chicago is seeking an Assistant Professor to:
teach undergraduate and graduate courses on literature and critical theory;
conduct research on Native American literature;
publish scholarship;
participate in scholarly conferences;
perform professional service (e.g., reviewing);
advise students;
serve on PhD examination and dissertation committees; and
serve on departmental committees.
Up to 15% domestic and international travel required. Up to 30% remote work allowed.
Qualifications
PhD degree in English Language and Literature or related field plus 1 year related experience.
Prior experience must include: Curriculum development for North American Indigenous literature and treaty histories;
Transcribe two literary manuscripts, which were unpublished materials from archives;
Research Indigenous Literatures and methodologies from Canada and the United States;
Teach Indigenous Literature from Canada;
Teach Indigenous Studies from Canada.
Full time: $62,000.00 - $85,000.00/year

Salary Range (Additional Information) This salary range is for a nine-month academic appointment. Salaries higher than the published maximums may be offered in limited circumstances.
