Overview
The Global Account Pricing Director plays a pivotal role in driving pricing strategy and execution for our Global Account organization. This role will be a key business partner to the Global Account sales team and will work closely with our IT and sales enablement organization to ensure pricing consistency, accuracy and alignment with our customer centric vision. The GA Pricing Director will create pricing solutions that meet both external customer and Convergint business needs by working cross-functionally with internal sales management while gaining customer insights and business knowledge to effectively drive customer satisfaction. The Pricing Director, Global Accounts is expected to perform the role in a manner that emulates Convergint's core Values and Beliefs.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Business Partnership
Act as trusted advisors to the vertical and global accounts (GA) sales teams.
Collaborate closely with sales and leadership to align pricing strategies with broader business objectives.
Renewal Pricing Management
Lead and manage pricing aspects of contract renewals for existing Global Strategic Accounts (GSA) and multi-site Master Service Agreements (MSAs).
Ensure contract profitability standards are maintained or improved in renewal cycles.
Pricing Strategy Development
Provide pricing strategy recommendations and guidance for new business opportunities via Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Requests for Quotation (RFQs).
Design competitive, profitable pricing solutions tailored to customer and market conditions.
Customer Profitability Analysis
Develop objective business cases assessing short-term and long-term profitability for new opportunities.
Evaluate financial impacts and support data-driven pricing decisions.
Profitability Coaching and Governance
Establish and coach the organization on profitability standards for complex and strategic accounts.
Develop frameworks and guidelines to ensure consistent, profitable pricing practices.
Leadership Enablement
Equip vertical and GA sales leaders with the pricing tools, insights, and strategies needed to achieve their profitability targets.
Customer Analytics & QBR Support
Provide analytical insights and reporting to support customer Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs).
Track performance metrics and identify opportunities for account growth or margin improvement.
Key Competencies and Skills
Core Competencies:
Knowledge of B2B pricing in services and/or integration
Technical Skills:
strategic, analytical, and planning skills
Behavioral Skills:
Strong verbal and written communication skills; Strong teaming and collaboration skills
Qualifications
Education:
5-10 years of experience in pricing in a senior role; Bachelor's degree in economics, finance or computer science. Master's degree preferred
Experience:
5+ years of experience in a combination of sales strategy, sales planning operations, management consulting or investment banking preferred; Minimum 5+ years' experience in pricing, promotion, sales, and customer analytics; Prior project management and direct management experience; Demonstrated ability to convey pricing theory and strategy into strong business plans
Certifications:
CPP preferred but not required
