Overview
Clinical Faculty Positions — Solid Tumor Oncology Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology/Oncology University of Cincinnati, College of Medicine The Division of Hematology and Oncology of the Department of Internal Medicine at the University of Cincinnati, in collaboration with the University of Cincinnati Cancer Center, is undergoing a major expansion and is seeking faculty candidates at the Assistant, Associate or full Professor level across multiple disease-focused areas. These positions are open to physicians with an interest in active clinical practice together with pursuit of laboratory, outcomes, integrative medicine, survivorship, or clinical trial focused research. Exceptional clinicians with interest in clinical trial accrual and education of fellows and residents are also encouraged to apply. The individuals selected for these positions will receive a highly competitive compensation package, protected time for professional development (research or education), administrative/advanced practice provider support, and a well demarcated pathway for career growth and advancement. Leadership roles in the division, department and cancer center are also available for qualified individuals. Area of interest
include, but are not limited to: Breast cancer Genitourinary oncology Head and neck oncology Phase 1/early drug development/Cellular Therapy Sarcomas/melanoma As one of the oldest medical schools in the country, the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine (COM) has a reputation for training best-in-class health care professionals and developing cutting-edge procedures and research that improve the health of patients. The Division of Hematology and Oncology supports the University of Cincinnati Medical Center (UCMC), West Chester Hospital (WCH), University of Cincinnati Cancer Center (UCCC), and the Cincinnati Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center. The UCCC is a collaboration between the University of Cincinnati, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, and UC Health and with over 35 million dollars of NCI funding, is actively pursuing NCI designation. The Division comprises a BMT cellular transplant program, a robust experimental therapeutics program including membership in the NCI Early Clinical Trials Network, a dedicated Phase 1 unit, and GMP facility for production of cellular based therapies. Ten divisional research labs provide venues for translational research studies that are enhanced by thirteen additional research labs in the Department of Cancer biology. In this regard, robust basic and translational focus exists for breast, thoracic, head and neck, lymphoma, leukemia and drug development. Faculty at the University of Cincinnati have access to robust core services supported by both the University and Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, the top Pediatric hospital in the US. In addition, the physical location of faculty within the division of hematology and oncology puts researchers in close proximity to the school of pharmacy, engineering, business, and arts/sciences that facilitates incredible collaborative research. Qualifications
MD or DO. Completion of a four-year Internal Medicine residency. Completion of a three-year fellowship in Hematology or Hematology-Oncology. Ohio State Medical License and DEA license.
