Locum Nephrologist

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locum Nephrologist to join our dynamic medical team. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional healthcare services to a diverse group of patients. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, rewarding environment, where your expertise in nephrology will make a significant impact on patient outcomes. You will have the opportunity to gain experience in a variety of clinical settings and provide critical care in the management of complex renal conditions. This is a locum position requiring 24-hour call coverage, offering flexibility and the chance to work within a supportive healthcare environment. You will collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals and have the chance to care for patients with a broad range of renal conditions. Key Responsibilities
Management of dialysis patients, including hemodialysis (Hemo) and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT). Management of post-renal transplant patients, ensuring optimal care and monitoring for complications. Renal biopsies to diagnose kidney conditions and inform treatment plans. Hemodialysis catheter placement for patients requiring access for dialysis. Plasmapheresis for patients with autoimmune and other relevant conditions. Provide comprehensive care to patients in the nephrology unit, working with a team of professionals to ensure the best outcomes for all patients. Collaborate with nursing, APPs, and other specialists to provide quality care and effective treatment plans. Qualifications
Must be Board Certified in Nephrology. Must be Indiana licensed or eligible for IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact). Must have an active BLS Must have an active DEA certification. Additional Requirements
Strong clinical skills and expertise in nephrology, including dialysis management, renal biopsies, and post-transplant care. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a highly demanding environment. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with patients, families, and the medical team.
