What You’ll Do
Design, build, and ship full-stack product features across Mandolin’s core modules. Collaborate closely with Product to scope requirements and translate them into technical implementations. Own projects end-to-end: backend services, APIs, data flows, and front-end interfaces. Establish engineering patterns and best practices that ensure quality, maintainability, and scalability as the product evolves. Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and technical decision-making across the team. Debug, test, and continuously improve systems to deliver reliable experiences in healthcare-critical environments. Stay close to customer needs by working alongside PMs and implementation teams. Must-have Experience
4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with strong contributions to full-stack applications. Proficiency with modern web frameworks (e.g., React, Next.js, or similar) and backend services (e.g., Node.js, Python, Go, or similar). Experience designing and consuming APIs, working with databases, and building secure, reliable systems. Track record of owning projects end-to-end in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Strong communication skills and a product-minded approach—comfortable working directly with Product and customers. Nice-to-haves
Experience working in early-stage startups and shaping product from 0 to 1. Background in healthcare, life sciences, or other regulated industries. Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP), CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring/observability tools. Exposure to AI-driven products or agentic systems. Seniority level
