This executive role is central to overseeing secure, climate-controlled environments tailored to the preservation and movement of high-value artworks, archives, and cultural assets. With national oversight, the Vice President will lead a facilities team focused on maintaining impeccable standards across a portfolio of specialised art storage spaces. What You’ll Be Doing:

Lead a nationwide team managing daily operations across secure art storage facilities, ensuring optimal conditions for fine art and collectible preservation. Develop and implement long-term asset strategies, prioritising preventative maintenance and capital improvements that support sensitive environmental requirements. Oversee and analyse facility operating and capital budgets to ensure cost efficiency while upholding conservation-grade standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on new facility development and renovation projects tailored to the unique needs of art storage and handling. Introduce and manage advanced building systems such as precision climate control, fire/life safety, and state-of-the-art access control technologies. Ensure all facilities comply with regulatory guidelines and support broader ESG and sustainability initiatives. Review and guide bespoke tenant fit-outs for art galleries, museums, and private collections with occasional direct client interaction. Uphold exceptional service standards for internal teams and external clients, including artists, curators, and collectors. Set and manage team objectives in line with company-wide performance goals and professional development plans. Mentor and develop facilities staff, fostering a collaborative, client-focused work culture. Conduct regular performance reviews and ensure ongoing team development. Travel periodically to oversee projects and maintain consistent standards across multiple locations. What We’re Looking For:

10+ years of leadership experience in facilities management within multi-site or national operations. In-depth knowledge of building engineering, climate control, and preservation-specific infrastructure. Budgeting, resource planning, and negotiation expertise, especially in specialist environments. Proven ability to manage projects with high attention to detail and compliance requirements. Excellent communication skills and a solution-oriented leadership style. Prior experience in fine art storage, cultural heritage facilities, or the relocation sector is strongly preferred. Interested? Reach out to Alchemy Global Talent Solutions today.
