We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and manage a high-profile federal contract at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO). The Project Manager will oversee complex, multi-task operations, ensure compliance with program schedules and budgets, and serve as the primary client interface at senior levels. This role requires a proactive leader with strong program management skills and the ability to supervise a diverse team delivering mission-critical support services. Key Responsibilities
Direct, organize, and manage contract support functions, ensuring the timely and cost-effective completion of multiple, interrelated project tasks. Serve as the senior point of contact for GAO leadership, maintaining excellent communication and relationships with stakeholders. Develop, review, and monitor task plans, deliverables, schedules, and financial/technical reports. Supervise contractor personnel, providing day-to-day oversight, scheduling, training, and quality control. Lead agency-wide records management initiatives including: Conducting inventories and file plans. Supporting storage, digitization, and classification of records. Assisting with records appraisal and compliance with NARA guidelines. Ensuring 100% quality assurance on all records and documentation. Develop and deliver training on information and records management to GAO staff, new hires, and Capstone Officials. Support digitization strategies and tracking tools to ensure compliance with federal mandates (M-19-21, M-23-07). Ensure rapid response to technical and operational inquiries within required timeframes (1 hour for urgent issues; 24 hours for standard communications). Required Qualifications
U.S. Citizenship. Active Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance. Bachelor's degree in information management, business administration, or related discipline. Minimum of 5 years of program and project management experience in a federal or corporate environment. Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage competing priorities, and deliver on large-scale, complex projects. Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification (PMI). Experience with records management, digitization, and compliance with NARA and federal records policies. Schedule & Availability
