Overview

Systems Integrator, Unix – Washington, DC – Hybrid SkyEdge Systems (SES) is seeking a Unix Systems Integrator who will manage Unix-based systems and applications across hybrid environments. This position is critical to ensure the high availability and security of FCC’s backend infrastructure. This is a hybrid role. Responsibilities

Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of Unix systems. Implement system updates, backups, and monitoring tools. Troubleshoot performance issues and support root cause analysis. Document system architecture and operational procedures. Ensure compliance with configuration management and change control. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; OR Associate and 4+ years of relevant experience; OR High School and 6+ years of relevant experience. Active CompTIA Linux certification. Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a favorable Public Trust Background Investigation. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Ability to work independently and yet be effective within a team setting. Must be capable of managing multiple efforts with time-related constraints in a fast-paced contracting environment. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse internal and external stakeholder groups and individuals. Friendly presence, helpful attitude, good interpersonal skills, and ability to work well with others. Ability to provide technical assistance and support over the phone; good phone skills and professional demeanor.
