Overview
TRIAL COURT STAFF ATTORNEY (Pasco Criminal Law) (State-Funded) Office of the Court Counsel Description of Work: This is professional and highly responsible work conducting legal research, providing oral and written advice to judges, and drafting orders and opinions for the assigned circuit judges. The work involves considerable interpretation and judgment in the analysis of legal issues, primarily on criminal postconviction matters. The Staff Attorney may also work on criminal trial and pretrial matters, and may also assist with legal issues from other divisions and the Court Counsel. Contacts are primarily with judges, judicial assistants, and other court personnel. All work is performed under the supervision of a Senior Staff Attorney. This position may be partially remote. Minimum Training and Experience
Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in The Florida Bar. Law school graduates who are currently pursuing membership in The Florida Bar are eligible to apply but will be required to attain Florida Bar membership within one year if selected for appointment. Location
