Responsibilities
Understand and identify customer needs to support pull-through activities and ensure Ascendis Pharma is viewed as a valued partner
Develop superior product and disease state knowledge to engage in clinical dialogue with healthcare professionals
Drive outstanding sales performance to meet or exceed sales forecasts
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to deliver appropriate resources and pull-through within the territory
Demonstrate administrative excellence by managing work hours, sales call data, and reporting responsibilities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred
Minimum of 5 years of previous sales experience in a specialty sales environment, preferably in rare disease and injectable products
Proven ability to work in an ambiguous, changing environment; start-up experience preferred
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Overnight travel required
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in a new product launch environment
Demonstrated experience working with patient services in a distribution HUB and specialty pharmacies
Ability to analyze data/metrics to assess progress against objectives and identify new opportunities
Proven history of strong performance and demonstrated current strong performance
Experience establishing new customer relationships and communicating technical information effectively
