7+ years of experience of hotel accounting working in the field, area controller for a management company or corporate company that manages hotels – liaison between all groups Job Description
Applies principles of accounting, knowledge of accounting software and systems to prepare, maintain and report financial information. Responsible for the preparation of all monthly balance sheet reconciliations. The Assistant Controller will generate various reports. The Assistant Controller must be detail oriented and must be able to appropriately prioritize his/her work and manage his/her time to meet all required deadlines. Other duties as assigned. Lead the corporate hotel accounting team Oversee production and analysis of monthly financial reports Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations Analyze hotel performance metrics Reconcile corporate balance sheet and bank accounts monthly Investigate and correct deposit discrepancies Monitor stale-dated checks for escheatment or voiding Track and report unclaimed payroll checks Assist in the annual budget process for hotels Support both internal and external audits Maintain accurate and complete accounting records Perform month-end closings and reporting tasks Participate in special projects as assigned REQUIRED Equity Equal Opportunity Employer statements and compliance text as provided by Addison Group (EEO, non-discrimination, reasonable accommodation) including all applicable federal, state and local laws.
