Senior Leave of Absence Specialist. Applies advanced knowledge of job protected leaves to manage the leave of absence (LOA) process for employees and managers. Handles complex or escalated case management to provide consultation and guidance to employees and their managers throughout the leave process. Bi-lingual English and Spanish required. Responsibilities

Apply advanced knowledge of leave laws and regulations (FMLA, CFRA, PFL, PDL, Workers’ Comp, Military Leave, ERISA, HIPAA) and applicable state and federal laws to manage LOA processes. Provide consultation and guidance to employees and managers throughout the leave process, including escalation as needed. Coordinate and liaise with workers compensation, disability management, benefits, labor and employee relations, timekeeping, and payroll. Qualifications

Thorough knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, PFL, PDL, Workers’ Comp, Military Leave, ERISA, HIPAA and applicable state and federal laws. Advanced knowledge preferred. Working knowledge of rules and regulations affecting employee benefit programs. Advanced knowledge preferred. Ability to maintain confidentiality and safeguard information. Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively and with confidence. Skill and sensitivity in dealing with others. Ability to handle difficult and complicated issues with professionalism and sound judgement. Strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to build relationships, collaborate and problem solve across all levels of the organization. Critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ability to provide high level of service and adapt to shifting priorities. Knowledge of computer databases and Windows software. Ability to learn computer systems and programs. Demonstrated competency with and commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and belonging. Multi-lingual preferred and Spanish fluency required. Special Conditions

Job offer is contingent upon satisfactory clearance based on Background Check results. Occasional evenings and weekends may be required. Must be bi-lingual. Fluency in English and Spanish required. Pay Transparency Act

- Annual Full Pay Range: $71,600 - $127,400 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).
