Kalamazoo Valley is seeking a full-time

Associate Director of Marketing

to lead and implement college marketing strategies and programs. An additional responsibility of this position is to support the mission of the institution, abide by the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the college, and promote positive student and customer relations. Essential Job Functions

Develops and executes college communication strategies in collaboration with senior management. Maintains internal client list and oversees the completion of marketing projects including promotional and public relations campaigns. Ensures compliance with college branding and identity guidelines. Manages three or more direct reports, participates in the hiring process, ensures appropriate onboarding, training, coaching and discipline, and, through collaboration with the Human Resources Department, develops and implements effective supervisory practices. Oversees the implementation of campaigns through the Customer Relationship Management System (CRM) related to student recruitment and retention. Coordinates production of promotional material for large-scale college-wide events including engagement and oversight of designers, photographers and other staff. Collaborates with IT to ensure timely compliance, identifies and resolves CRM campaign issues and errors and assists with data generation for campaign management. Plans, develops and supports the budget development for projects and monitors expenses, assists with budget review and recommendations, report generation, data extraction, procedure and process analysis and compliance with internal reporting. Drafts, edits and distributes college-wide emails to both students, faculty and staff. Performs other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of acceptable college relations principles. Knowledge of acceptable supervisory practices and procedures. Skill in planning and developing budgets. Skill in managing multiple projects. Skill in meeting the needs of internal and external customers. Skill in coordinating activities associated with producing publications. Skill in the use of computers and software applications related to the essential functions of the job. Skill in effective verbal and written communication. Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other personnel and the public. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

Appropriate education, training, experience and talents are required. An example would be a bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as journalism or public relations, and four (4) years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience. Preferred Qualifications and Experience: Physical Demands

The work is sedentary and may require exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects, including the human body. Requires mental acuity, the ability to make rational decisions, the ability to express ideas verbally, and close visual acuity. Work Hours
