The staff physician shall provide patient care services and will support the Phoenix Children's mission of providing hope, healing and the best health care for children and their families. Position Duties

Provide patient care services for which he/she is clinically privileged, including but not limited to: direct inpatient and outpatient patient care; subspecialty consultations and follow-up; diagnostic and therapeutic services/procedures; and urgent/emergent care as necessary. Strive to achieve the best patient and family centered care. Support Hospital’s patient satisfaction goals as well as division’s specific targets. Support and adhere to divisional patient safety and quality of care standards. Practices Contemporary Evidence based medicine or latest experience based medicine. Divisional Responsibilities: establish and demonstrate effort to achieve annual physician goals and objectives; support medical education programs including direct supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals for inpatient and outpatient services when applicable; conduct teaching rounds, lectures and conferences for trainees; participate in teaching and supervision of trainees and allied health care professionals; participate in postgraduate continuing educational activities; support research initiatives; support programmatic growth of division; support satellite efforts of division when appropriate. Professionalism: treat colleagues, Phoenix Children's employees and customers with courtesy, dignity and respect; promote safe, cooperative and professional health care environment; support Phoenix Children's mission, vision and values including family centered care, excellence in clinical care, leadership, collaboration and accountability. Other activities: support the Division Chief as liaison to professional community and public as requested; may conduct teaching rounds or conferences outside of Phoenix Children's to support divisional clinical and teaching programs; represent Phoenix Children's in the medical and business communities and before the public in a professional manner; communicate effectively; perform after-hours or night call responsibilities as needed; work regularly scheduled hours; perform miscellaneous job related duties as requested.
