Overview
The YMCA of Metropolitan Fort Worth is seeking a mission-driven, innovative, and strategic leader to serve as the Executive Director of Youth Achievement Services. This executive-level position is responsible for one of the Association’s largest and most impactful program portfolios, encompassing: 55 School-Age Child Care sites across four school districts (fee-based and grant-funded) 11 Day Camp sites Teen Programs: Youth & Government Teen Leadership programs (i.e., Achievers, with plans for future expansion) Reach & Rise mentoring program Reporting
to the District Executive Director, this leader will set the vision, strategy, and daily execution of Youth Achievement Services, ensuring programs are safe, high-quality, and accessible for all families. With oversight of a $6M+ budget and a dedicated team of senior program staff, the Executive Director will champion operational excellence, cultivate innovation in program delivery, and expand the Y’s impact across our large metropolitan service area. Responsibilities
This role is both strategic and hands-on. The Executive Director will be responsible for shaping comprehensive youth development initiatives that support the academic, social, and personal growth of thousands of children and teens each year. Responsibilities include: Build and lead comprehensive youth development initiatives across multiple sites and programs Develop partnerships with school districts, government agencies, and community organizations Drive financial sustainability through annual fundraising, grants, and donor cultivation Ensure high standards of quality, compliance, and safety across all program sites Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience. 5+ years of senior management experience, preferably in a nonprofit or youth-serving organization, with demonstrated success managing a multi-site operation and a budget of $3M+. Proven ability to develop high-quality programs, lead diverse teams, and cultivate strong community partnerships. Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, fundraising (including campaigns and grants), and resource development. Excellent communication, networking, and relationship-building skills across diverse communities. Ability to represent the YMCA with professionalism, integrity, and a commitment to its mission.
