Barry’s is the Best Workout in the World. Founded in West Hollywood in 1998, Barry’s offers a high‑intensity, one‑hour workout with alternating strength and cardio intervals. Our program aims to tone muscle, maximize fat loss, and spike metabolism after class.

About The Role Client Specialists
are the first line of contact at all Barry’s studios. They are knowledgeable about all aspects of our business and adhere to company policies, procedures, and directives. Client Specialists develop lasting client relationships through hospitality, assist with class selections, bookings, questions, maintaining a clean studio, FuelBar orders, and merchandise purchases. They are excellent communicators and positive brand ambassadors who convey memorable experiences for clients. We seek passionate, hard‑working, reliable, team‑oriented, forward‑thinking problem‑solvers with outgoing interpersonal skills, a love for health, an excitement for our brand, and a desire to contribute to the Barry’s community.
This role encompasses responsibilities in equal measure: Front Desk, Facilities & Fuel Bar.
What You’ll Do Front Desk Responsibilities:
Client Experience: Apply hospitality principles to execute Barry’s Client Experience and build personalized experiences to positively impact sales and service.
Brand ambassador: Ensure clients are warmly welcomed, assisted, and have a memorable experience aligned with the Barry’s brand.
Interpersonal Relationships: Develop and maintain constructive relationships with clients and staff.
Communicate with Supervisors and peers promptly via phone, written form, email, text, or in person.
Deliver first-class client experience at all times.
Maintain a clean and welcoming studio atmosphere; assist with cleaning, restocking, and upkeep.
Guide clients on promotions, membership discounts, and events; maintain product knowledge for studio retail.
Participate in training and development programs as directed by Operations leaders.
Flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, mornings or nights; meet minimum availability requirements.
Fuel Bar Responsibilities:
Deliver quality protein smoothies and customer service; handle pre-orders and on‑the‑spot orders tailored to clients.
Assist clients with questions and product selection; complete orders using POS; maintain bar areas clean and sanitized.
Adhere to safety, food handling, and sanitation regulations; rotate merchandise appropriately.
Prepare Fuel Bar items following company recipes.
Facility Maintenance:
Prepare studio spaces for classes by cleaning equipment, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and wiping mirrors.
Clean and maintain locker rooms; routine deep cleaning and organization of common areas.
Perform small studio repairs as appropriate; manage laundry services.
Adhere to daily/weekly cleaning and maintenance checklists.
Customer Service:
Provide the highest level of hospitality to existing and new clients.
Maintain client database and use information to increase client contact.
Attend community events to generate business and invite clients to in-studio events; utilize clienteling tools.
Qualifications
Strong hospitality skills and alignment with Barry’s Mission, Vision and Values.
Ability to work full-time or part-time; full-time requires a minimum of 30 hours per week with mornings, afternoons, evenings, and at least one weekend day; part-time requires a minimum of 24 hours per week with shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, and at least one weekend day, per state regulations.
Friendly, outgoing personality with enjoyment of social interaction.
Enthusiasm for the studio and the job; patient, courteous listener; empathetic.
Can-do attitude in responding to client requests; cooperative team player.
Ability to prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment; excellent cleaning and sanitary practices; attention to detail.
Professional appearance and behavior; strong communication skills.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
The Pay Range For This Role Is
16.20 USD per hour (Chicago)
