We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented
Tax Manager
to lead our tax compliance and planning functions. This role is responsible for overseeing the preparation and review of tax filings, managing audits, and developing strategies to optimize tax positions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a proactive approach to navigating complex tax regulations. Key Responsibilities
Oversee the preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax returns for corporate entities, partnerships, and individuals. Lead tax planning initiatives to minimize tax liabilities and support strategic business decisions. Ensure compliance with current tax laws and regulations, staying informed of legislative changes. Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors. Coordinate and support tax audits, including documentation and responses to inquiries. Develop and implement internal controls and procedures to ensure accurate tax reporting. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior tax staff. Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate tax provision calculations and reporting (ASC 740). Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within the tax function. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation preferred). CPA certification required. 5+ years of progressive tax experience, including supervisory responsibilities. Strong knowledge of corporate tax, multi-state taxation, and tax accounting principles. Proficiency in tax software (e.g., OneSource, CCH, Vertex) and ERP systems. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Additional Details
