Overview

The Events Manager will manage and produce a variety of events from the firm’s participation in industry events as exhibitors and sponsors to client events and dinners, internal business and sales meetings, incentive and recognition activities, to industry conferences. Event management could mean project management from inception to conclusion or working with a team and managing subprojects or portions of the event within a larger event. The ideal candidate must be able to work within time limits to plan, resource, and manage multiple events at the same time. Excellent people skills are a must. The abilities to multitask and prioritize are essential, as this role involves overseeing logistics and hundreds of details including event sourcing, set-up, catering, audio-visual, hotel reservations, travel, registration, the invitee list, VIPs, equipment, promotional and marketing materials, etc. The role requires strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, sharp project management skills, and a positive, professional demeanor to work in a fast-paced environment under deadline pressure. The Events Manager must work effectively with internal and external clients and stakeholders, other departments, senior management, and vendors, and must understand company standards, corporate policies and branding guidelines. This position works in the Events Department and reports to the Senior Vice President, Events. The company values enthusiastic candidates with fresh ideas and strong organizational skills.

Salary

range for this role is $90k - $100k, salary exempt. Instructions below refer to responsibilities and qualifications. Responsibilities

Plan events from start to finish according to business requirements and objectives, creating a project plan and timeline, and coordinating event marketing Manage events or projects within specific budgets Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers Lead promotional activities for the event Suggest ideas to enhance the event’s success Manage vendors and venues on-site and any event staff as needed Ensure events are completed smoothly and resolve problems during planning or on-site Host kick-off and debrief meetings with presentations giving an overview of the event or project Analyze event success and track year-over-year data for analysis Maintain clear and organized documentation of project plans, timelines, budgets, and daily tasks Work with Cvent for event management Collaborate internally to identify new strategies for promoting events and sponsorships Support special projects including awards and recognition May perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Event planning, communications, marketing or business preferred Five (5) years of experience in event planning and/or hospitality Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) Cvent and Social Tables experience preferred Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills Exceptional attention to detail with a process-improvement mindset and strong documentation skills Proven project management skills; highly organized, proactive, deadline-oriented with ability to handle multiple priorities Ability to stay calm under pressure and adapt to changes Problem-solving abilities and strong negotiation skills Commitment to learning and familiarity with commercial real estate terminology and industry practices Working knowledge of Adobe PDF editing tools; experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) is a plus Team player with leadership capabilities Must have a valid driver's license Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds Our mission is to help our clients create and preserve wealth by providing the best real estate investment sales, financing, research, and advisory services available.
