Overview
Senior Architect - security clearance required at Jacobs. This position is located at a client site in Quantico, VA.

Base pay range $150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Act as a consultant in the establishment of design standards and criteria for construction projects.
Provide on-site field survey measurements and verification including documentation of space, equipment, workflow, required adjacencies, communication and organizational requirements. Provide recommendations based on observations.
Prepare stacking plans to accommodate functionality and adjacency requirements.
Prepare blocking plans, schematic or conceptual designs, and design intent drawings in AutoCAD. Ensure drawings comply with Program of Requirements (POR), Campus Design Guides and Construction Standards.
Perform design reviews and submit comments in required format.
Manage design of projects throughout the project, from programming to post-occupancy. Includes building and maintaining relationships with end user, local team, subject matter experts, etc.
Perform construction administration duties, such as reviewing and answering RFIs, reviewing submittals, producing field reports, site visits to verify compliance with drawings and POR requirements, and closeout of punch lists.
Maintain knowledge of the International Building Code and Commentary (IBC), the Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards (UFAS), and pertinent federal accessibility standards.
Collaborate and assist in resolving critical and possibly controversial issues with a multi-disciplined team of architects, engineers, and federal agency clients.
Qualifications
An active Secret Security Clearance is a requirement for this position; Top Secret is preferred.
US Citizenship.
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from NAAB-accredited college or university.
Architectural license is preferred.
Minimum ten (10) years of related experience and/or training in architecture, construction, engineering, design, facilities management, real estate management, etc.; 20 years is preferable.
PMP (US and/or Canada) and LEED AP preferred.
Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret complex business documents; ability to respond effectively to sensitive issues.
Ability to write reports and present information effectively; ability to persuade audiences on complex topics.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office; ability to read and understand architectural drawings.
Proficient in AutoCAD and/or Revit.
Relevant experience in architectural aspects of design and construction; workspace design knowledge with regard to occupant health and welfare.
Knowledge of MS Project, leases, contracts, and construction practices; able to set department deadlines.
