About the role Position Description: What You\'ll Do and Who You\'ll Work With: Reporting directly to the Director of Electrical Engineering, the Principal Engineer will be responsible for:

Electrical engineering design aspects of capital projects, facility upgrades, and electrical design support for planned outages and equipment troubleshooting.

Business development/expansion projects at various operating facilities.

Leading, managing and executing multiple electrical projects/programs in the network.

Providing subject matter expertise and leading cross-functional teams while driving technical standardization as a guardian of Electrical Design Standards for Reworld.

Mentoring more junior team members and sharing best practices and technical expertise.

Serving as a primary Electrical Engineering SME to the business.

Location/Travel: Preferred location is Morristown, NJ Headquarters. Requires close collaboration with corporate functions and facilities and ~20% travel across the network. Travel to domestic locations and Low-Cost-Countries (LCC) such as China may be required. A remote work option is available with some additional travel to Morristown and across the network. Compensation varies by location.

Responsibilities (Core)

Electrical Design: Independently develop/review/approve electrical system design documents including One Line/Three Line Diagrams, Control Schematics, Wiring diagrams, Arc Flash, Short Circuit & Voltage Drop Calculations, Coordination Studies; develop scope of work for electrical AE firms and coordinate with suppliers/contractors.

Plan design tasks to achieve design and construction within budget and schedule; act as technical lead for small to medium capital programs; electrical design scope includes System Design, Scope Development, Engineering Calculations, Specifications, and Risk Assessments for HV, MV systems.

Engineering Standards: evaluate, select and apply standard engineering techniques; manage and update Key Electrical Design Standards/Specifications as SME; keep standards current with industry practices and regulatory developments.

Commissioning/Startup: provide SME design support to Project Managers; support commissioning and installations for assigned projects.

Troubleshooting/Problem Solving: provide electrical engineering design troubleshooting for plant operations; analyze failure root causes and develop cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor\'s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.

Minimum 10 years of engineering experience.

Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure is preferred.

Experience with High, Medium & Low Voltage distribution systems and electrical power generation in large utility power plants or large industrial facilities.

Experience with One Line/Three Line Diagrams, DC Control Schematics, Wiring diagrams, GA drawings for interconnections, substations, power plants and process plants; includes motor control centers and related equipment.

Experience with protective relaying schemes (Medium Voltage) including coordination and relay settings; SEL relays experience preferred.

Proficiency in CAD/AutoCAD, ETAP, SKM Powertools, SEL Acselerator, and similar engineering software.

Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to analyze data, write technical reports, and develop work packages; ability to manage multiple assignments.
