A publicly traded company is looking for a
VP Controller / VP of Accounting
to oversee corporate accounting and reporting. This is a
succession-track opportunity
designed to evolve into the CFO position as part of a planned leadership transition. What You’ll Do
Lead all accounting operations, including general ledger, consolidations, and reporting Oversee SEC filings, SOX compliance, and technical accounting matters Maintain strong internal controls and risk management practices Partner with FP&A and operations to align reporting with business performance Drive system and process enhancements across the finance function Mentor and grow the accounting team What We’re Looking For
CPA required; Big 4 or national firm background strongly preferred 10–15 years of progressive accounting leadership in a public company environment Deep technical accounting and SEC reporting experience Strong leadership and ability to manage teams through growth and transformation Must be local to South Florida and onsite 3–4 days per week Compensation
Competitive base salary, annual cash bonus, and equity. Clear path to CFO as part of near-term succession planning. Seniority level
