Van Ness, Washington DC – hybrid schedule. Office is metro accessible. Travel 10-15% of the time as needed to build cross functional relationships with key stakeholders.

Company Overview : Alpine Investors, a people-driven private equity firm, launched Mosaic Service Partners earlier this spring, a newly formed home services aggregator strategy backed by Alpine’s 9th fund, which has over $4.5 billion of committed capital. This is a unique opportunity to play a foundation role in helping build the finance function of a company with a clear mandate to scale to over $500 million in revenue within the next five years. Mosaic Service Partners is seeking to be the market-leading business in its specific vertical, building on Alpine’s existing success elsewhere in residential services. The goal of Mosaic Service Partners is to help drive growth at its operating companies by providing support resources across talent, sales and marketing, finance, HR, etc. while still empowering local leaders to make the right decisions for their business and people.
Opportunity Overview Mosaic Service Partners is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to work closely with the CFO to create a budget, maintain an accurate forecast, draw conclusions from the data and most importantly tell the story of the numbers. This role is a mix of finance, analytics, and problem solving and this person will be a user of Power BI to create dashboards. This role represents a unique opportunity for an individual to join a startup company with ambitious goals, yet one that has the sophistication, resources, and leadership caliber of a much larger firm. The Strategic Finance Manager will work in an exciting, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment, and will help promote a team-oriented culture that values treating people well.
What You Will Do
Support budget development, forecast and variance modeling for Mosaic hold co, the operating companies and grow as Mosaic acquires new businesses in different markets
Lead strategic initiatives, including compensation processes, personnel cost analysis, and revenue forecasting based on previous year sales
Build and maintain a 13-week cash flow model
Streamline reporting processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Leverage Power BI to enhance data storytelling and decision-making. Power BI is preferred, not required.
Oversee month-end reporting and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Summarize complex financial data into clear, actionable insights.
Work collaboratively with General Managers in market to build and maintain their accurate forecast and revenue models.
Perform competitive intelligence analysis to assess market positioning, identify industry trends, and guide strategic decisions.
What We're Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Business, Economics, Accounting or related field.
5+ years professional experience in financial analysis or corporate finance, with demonstrated growth in scope of responsibilities, ideally within a law firm or professional services organization.
Experience managing a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Experience in a PE-backed roll-up highly preferred.
Collaborative mindset with a proven ability to mentor and develop team members.
Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with superior problem-solving abilities.
Experience managing and improving reporting processes, budget planning, and financial modeling.
High level of integrity and judgement in handling confidential information.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data clearly and concisely.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while also seeking direction when needed.

Salary Range:
$150,000 – $180,000 plus 20% bonus (salary will depend on experience).
Currently, we are not paying for relocation for candidates outside the DC metro.
