Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Cardiology Nurse Practitioner who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing. Responsibilities
Perform initial patient screenings and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic diseases Educate and guide patients on disease prevention and healthy lifestyle habits Assist medical providers in development, implementation and periodic review of health care policies, protocols, and procedures Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination Ensure the confidentiality of all patients', company and other relevant information under HIPPA guidelines Prescribe or administer treatment, therapy, medication, vaccination and other specialized medical care to treat or prevent illness and injury Explain procedures and discuss test results and prescribed treatments with patients Qualifications
Master's degree or Doctorate degree in Nursing Licensed as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Maryland National Board Certification Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification Certification as an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner preferred Eligible for Maryland Controlled Dangerous Substance license DEA license is not required but preferred Cardiovascular Experience highly preferred Work Schedule and Compensation
Work Schedule: 10-hour day shift No on call No Holidays Per diem position with a rate of $73/hour Pay and Compliance
Pay Range: If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process. Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as United States of America (Non-Exempt). Benefits
