The position supports a nationally-funded grant focusing on diagnosing persons living with dementia in underserved primary care settings. The project emphasizes the dementia diagnostic process related to primary care practice, patients with cognitive impairment, and caregivers. It is crucial for the operational management of clinical research activities and involves implementing diverse research activities at multiple clinical sites. Responsibilities include:

Managing day-to-day operations of the research study, including training, supporting, and monitoring activities at participating primary care sites. Contributing to the development and implementation of data collection tools (e.g., surveys), data analysis, fostering partnerships, and leading community engagement efforts with clinical sites. Maintaining tracking databases and coordinating the needs of clinical teams and study collaborators across sites. Drafting study protocols and managing IRB submissions, amendments, renewals, and progress reports. Assisting primary care teams with scheduling, obtaining informed consent, and administering brief cognitive assessments. This role requires extensive interaction with UCSF research collaborators and community-based settings. The final salary depends on experience and internal equity, with a range of $34.32 - $55.19 per hour. Department

The Memory and Aging Center (MAC) within UCSF Department of Neurology investigates neurodegenerative diseases, focusing on decision-making in patients with FTD, AD, PPA, and others. Qualifications

Required:

HS diploma or equivalent, excellent communication and organizational skills, knowledge of clinical research contracts, IRB experience, proficiency with REDCap and database software, data management skills, recruitment strategy development, and experience working with diverse populations. Preferred:

Bilingual in Mandarin or Cantonese, UCSF Diversity & Inclusion training, current CITI certification, UC Cyber Security awareness, and COI training. About UCSF
