This position's primary focus is managing members with specialty (ONCOLOGY) diagnoses. The role involves performing all functions of case management (CM) and serving as a primary contact for members, healthcare personnel, and other entities involved in managing specialty care. The primary nurse case administrator performs care coordination, identifies alternative treatment programs, consults with physicians, providers, members, and other resources to evaluate options and services required to meet health needs, promotes quality and cost-effective outcomes, and acts as a liaison to physicians and members. Additionally, they provide education and local resource information, encourage member self-education, assess members for case management, introduce members to website tools, educate about specific conditions, and facilitate care coordination. Job Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) with current, valid, unrestricted license in the state of operation 4 years of clinical practice experience, including 3 years of recent specialty (ONCOLOGY) clinical experience Knowledge of specialty diagnosis drugs, adjunct therapies, treatment protocols, side effects, and complications Current certification in OCN, ONS, or ONCC Proficiency in Word, Excel, and database management Excellent verbal and written communication skills Knowledge of UM/CM/DM activities and standardized criteria Familiarity with ancillary services such as HHC, SNF, Hospice, etc. Strong clinical judgment, analytical skills, and communication abilities For positions requiring multi-state licenses, incumbents must obtain and maintain additional licenses as determined by management; fees covered by HCSC Knowledge of drugs, treatment protocols, diets, problem solving, healthy coping, and SMART goals Current Certified Specialists must maintain their certification Preferred Job Requirements

RN Compact License Oncology Certification CCM certification (preferred) Experience managing complex or catastrophic health cases Inpatient and outpatient experience 1 year of care management experience in health insurance or managed care Knowledge of medical management policies and procedures 1 year of education experience in a specialty area This is a remote (telecommute) role: Must reside within 250 miles of the office or anywhere within the posted state. #LI-Remote #LI-DP1 #CA Additional Information

Base Pay Range

$69,200.00 - $146,700.00
