Responsibilities
VMFH is fulfilling our vision of transforming healthcare by expanding our collaborative primary care team. We have an opportunity for a .75 – 1.0 FTE family medicine with OB physician at our Virginia Mason Medical Center regional medical center in desirable Edmonds, Washington. Join an innovative multidisciplinary team whose members appreciate work/life balance, their team, and the patients they serve. Our providers say they come to VMFH for the reputation of high-quality care and stay for the teamwork and relentless focus on patient experience and outcomes. Full-time (approx. 36 clinical patient contact hours) or part-time. Aspects Of The Family Medicine With Obstetrics Physician Role
Team-based approach with three Family-OB physicians delivering at a community hospital one block from the Edmonds clinic, with friendly OB backup. Averaging 6-10 deliveries per month, with numbers increasing. Robust administrative support. Providers assist on C-sections, with support from a team including ARNP or PA, RN, and MA, with built-in coverage for absences. Teams can adapt quickly to needs. Integrative primary care model including embedded pharmacists, social workers, and psychiatry providers, providing focused, coordinated care that results in excellent health outcomes. Social workers help address social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental needs. Flexible scheduling options developed collaboratively to accommodate individual needs. Call rotation among FP-OB physicians, with options to deliver their own patients. Weekend call shared with another group, reducing weekend duties. Access to ancillary and specialty services with referrals to over 30+ medical specialties within VMFH. Teaching opportunities for medical students and residents, with a supportive environment for new providers and a formal mentorship program. Culture of innovation promoting best practices, continual improvement, and safety using the Virginia Mason Production System. Competitive compensation: $282,000 - $306,000 annually.
