0.75 – 1.0 FTE family medicine with OB physician

at our Virginia Mason Medical Center regional medical center in desirable Edmonds, Washington. The position offers full-time (approximately 36 clinical patient contact hours) or part-time work.

Aspects of the Family Medicine with Obstetrics physician role include:

Team-based approach:

Join three Family-OB physicians delivering at a community hospital just one block from the Edmonds clinic, with friendly OB backup. The group averages 6-10 deliveries per month, with increasing numbers. There is robust administrative support to help build and grow the practice. FP-OB providers assist with C-sections, and each provider is part of a subset or pod of the larger primary care team, consisting of 2-3 physicians, 1 ARNP or PA, 1 RN, and 1 to 1 MA support. Pods can adapt quickly to team needs.

Integrative primary care model:

VMFH features embedded pharmacists, social workers, and psychiatry providers as part of the primary care team, partnering to deliver excellent patient outcomes. Social workers assist with social, emotional, behavioral, and environmental needs, providing care coordination.

Flexible schedule options:

We collaborate with you to develop a schedule that accommodates your individual needs.

Call responsibilities:

FP-OB physicians rotate call but can choose to deliver their own patients. Weekend call is shared with another FP-OB group, reducing weekend coverage.

Access to ancillary and specialty services:

Referral options to over 30 medical specialties within VMFH, with responsive and collegial results.

Teaching opportunities:

VMFH is a teaching environment with opportunities to precept medical students and residents. It is also suitable for providers new to practice.

Learning opportunities:

The team fosters a teaching culture with a formal mentorship program to support new providers and promote long-term success.

Compensation:

Competitive, quality-incentivized compensation ranging from $282,000 to $306,000 annually.
