Senior Group Leaders
to support our
School Age Child Care program
(grades 1–5). This leadership position is ideal for someone who brings energy, reliability, and experience in child development to a structured afterschool setting. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily programming for school-age children, including academic support, enrichment, and recreation Serve as a mentor to Group Leaders, offering guidance and support Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with program goals Collaborate with YMCA and KIPP DC staff to support program success Foster positive relationships with families and caregivers Qualifications: Minimum 2 years of experience with school-aged children in structured settings High school diploma or GED required; related coursework or degree preferred Demonstrated leadership and group management skills CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) Experience fostering an environment for children of all abilities is valued.
