Job Description: The Pharmacy Clinical Specialist I is responsible for establishing and expanding clinical services within their area of practice. This includes developing medication protocols, order sets, facilitating medication utilization reviews, and leading performance improvement projects to optimize drug therapy. The role also involves mentoring staff, serving as a clinical resource, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes through various clinical activities. Additionally, the position includes drug distribution functions as assigned, with a focus on working effectively with diverse patient populations and maintaining quality standards.
Estimated salary range: $117,150.22 - $152,295.29 per year, depending on experience.
Qualifications: Doctorate Degree (Pharm.D.) Registered Pharmacist license Additional Qualifications: Doctorate of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) Board Certification or 5 years of practice in the specialty if no residency training Must obtain BPS certification within one year if not already certified PGY1 residency with 2 years of practice in the specialty and BPS certification required PGY2 residency with BPS certification within one year of hire
Minimum required experience: 3 years of practice in the specialty for PGY1, plus 2 additional years for PGY2.
