We’re representing a leading AI-powered lending platform that partners with financial institutions to expand access to affordable credit. By leveraging advanced machine learning, the company enables banks and credit unions to improve approval rates while reducing risk — all while delivering a seamless, digital-first lending experience. The platform powers personal loans, auto refinancing, and most recently home lending products (HELOC and mortgage). Millions of homeowners are seeking fast, affordable access to home equity, and this team is building products to unlock that opportunity at scale. This is a high-impact environment for engineers who thrive at the intersection of AI, fintech, and consumer lending. Responsibilities

Build and scale the company’s newest home lending products (HELOC and Mortgage). Work across the stack with technologies like AWS, Kafka, Spring Boot, Kubernetes, and Kotlin. Turn feature tasks into opportunities to raise code quality and improve the broader system. Collaborate closely with product, design, and cross-functional teams to deliver customer-impacting features. Propose new ideas, challenge requirements when needed, and drive improvements to team metrics. Contribute to testability, resiliency, maintainability, and quality improvements across the codebase. Ideal Background

4+ years of professional experience with Kotlin, Java, or C# (Kotlin is the primary backend language). Strong experience with SQL databases and domain modeling. Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfortable tailoring messaging across stakeholders. Preference for synchronous collaboration and willingness to spend a few hours daily in Zoom-based coding sessions (e.g., mob programming). Comfortable challenging authority and thinking like an owner when making decisions. Self-starter with the ability to operate independently and propose product/technical tradeoffs. Preferred Qualifications

Prior fintech or lending experience is a plus but not required. Experience working in distributed teams and navigating asynchronous + synchronous collaboration. Strong product sense — able to connect technical solutions to customer outcomes. Compensation and Benefits
