Overview
Physician (Diagnostic Radiologist) position at U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. This OPEN CONTINUOUS ANNOUNCEMENT remains open until September 30, 2025; initial referral cut-off is September 15, 2025, with subsequent referrals as vacancies occur. Responsibilities
Act as imaging consultants to clinical services/sections. Direct the activities of residents, Medical Support Assistants, technologists, and nurses. Supervise the administration of medications, including contrast agents, by technologists and/or nurses. Responsible for supervision and interpretation of interventional procedures. Other duties as assigned. Work Schedule
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm. Program/Benefits Highlights

Basic Requirements:
United States Citizenship; MD or DO degree from a school approved by VA; current, full and unrestricted medical license; completed residency training approved by VA or equivalent foreign training with verification; English proficiency; ability to obtain VA credentialing and go through onboarding; pre-employment physical and immunization requirements; mandatory seasonal influenza vaccination for health care personnel. Additional/Specific Requirements:
Diagnostic Radiologists must have completed an ACGME-accredited Radiology or Nuclear Medicine residency (or equivalent) and practice in accordance with ACR guidelines and SNMMI/ACR Appropriateness Criteria. Proficiency in spoken and written English. Preferred: broad general radiologic skills; fellowship training not required but preferred. Education:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from LCME- or AOA-accredited schools, with ECFMG verification for foreign graduates as applicable. Location
Fredericksburg Health Care Center (FxHCC) Radiology Section; collaboration with Richmond VA Medical Center as part of Central Virginia VA Health Care System. License/Certifications
1 full and unrestricted medical license from any US state or territory; board eligibility/certification as applicable.
