Overview
The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Division at the University of Maryland School of Medicine is seeking a clinician educator. This position will have a primary clinical focus at the University of Maryland Midtown Campus, providing outpatient endocrinology services and inpatient consultative care to a diverse patient population. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team including diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists, and will play an active role in medical student, resident, and endocrinology fellow education at this site. There are opportunities to participate in community-based initiatives in diabetes and metabolic health, as well as clinical and quality improvement research.
Responsibilities
Deliver outpatient endocrinology services and inpatient consultative care.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of diabetes educators, nurse practitioners, and pharmacists.
Engage in medical student, resident, and endocrinology fellow education at the Midtown Campus site.
Participate in community-based initiatives in diabetes and metabolic health.
Contribute to clinical and quality improvement research as appropriate.
Qualifications
Medical degree from a recognized accredited domestic university (or foreign equivalent).
Board certification or eligibility in Endocrinology (BE/BC).
Eligible for an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Maryland.
Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care and teaching.
Salary and Benefits Expected faculty rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher; final rank, tenure status and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
The expected salary range for Assistant Professors is $169,988 (min) to $260,000 (max). The actual compensation offered may vary and will depend on factors including geographic location, skills, experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training, and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.
